I had never heard of a sea of clouds, but from the first time I heard it, curiosity intoxicated me and my imagination began to possess me. What was a sea of clouds? I began to see myself as a Peter Pan flying through the clouds to Neverland or, as in the story of the "Magic Beans", climbing a giant plant and crossing the clouds.

 

But friends, it is possible to feel like in a story, you only have to travel to Tenerife, where the clouds, unlike what we are used to, sometimes live close to the ground.

 

Raquel Millán is in charge of telling me that story, she is also my landlady while I stay at her “Finca Vilaflor”, located next to the Vilaflor town, as its name suggests. This woman is pure inspiration to me. A few years ago she decided to make a 180º turn in her safe and fixed life in Barceloa and, she bet everything on creating something that she was truly passionate about. She decided that the project that her grandmother had started many years ago could not be left halfway through, so accompanied by Andrew, her partner, they moved to a farm in the interior of Tenerife and began with the work. Now they have managed to build 3 cabins and a wonderful loft that, added to the views of the hills, the sea in the background and all the space of vineyards and chickens, if it is not paradise, it lacks little.
